I thought I would start off with a really quick recipe; This is my easy and simple recipe for the Southern favorite, Fried Chicken. You more than likely have all the ingredients in your fridge and pantry so this meal is a deal breaker any day of the week. In addition to seasoning my chicken pieces, I usually season my flour as well, this gives the skin some flavor.
Any tips? Variations? Comments? Hope you all enjoy (:
Ingredients
    • 8 chicken drumsticks (substitute: boneless chicken breast)
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • salt to taste
    • ground black pepper to taste
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

      Instructions

      1. Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic salt, Roll in flour.
      2. Add  3/4 inch oil to a large, heavy skillet. Heat to approximately 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). Place chicken pieces in hot oil. Cover, and fry until golden, turning once, 15 to 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
